Of course, this is all assuming you're playing on pc. This helps to prevent crashes caused by too much memory being used. The first is self explainable, and fallout 4gb just changes the game to use 4gb of ram instead of two. It's gotten to the point in my game of Fallout: New Vegas that I literally can't go 30 seconds without crashing. Even if you don't use mods to change the game, at least get New Vegas Anti-crash and fallout 4gb.
